Iota DLS-27-40/IQ4 AC Battery Charger
The DLS-27-40/IQ4 battery charger/power converter from IOTA Engineering converts nominal 120VAC voltage to the rated DC voltage of the charger. As a power supply, its tightly controlled regulation allows the user to operate any appropriate nominal DC load up to the converters rated output current. As a battery charger, the DLS-27-40/IQ4 will maintain the battery, delivering its full-rated current when the battery capacity falls sufficiently low. The voltage is set to deliver its maximum current for the necessary period of time that minimizes undue stress to the battery caused by heating of its cells. This helps to ensure the longest possible life of the battery. Over time, as the battery nears its full capacity, the converter will float-charge the battery to prevent self-discharge of its cells.

SunWize® Power & Battery Power Online Systems provide continuous DC power with battery backup from an AC source. These fully integrated, weatherproof units convert AC primary power to charge a 12 or 24 VDC sealed battery bank while powering a DC load or an AC load with integral inverter option. Since the loads are connected to the battery bank 100% of the time, there is zero transfer time in the event of a loss of AC primary power. Various battery sizes are available to provide increased backup capability and improved filtering of the charger output. Systems are housed in a weatherproof aluminum style enclosure with passive filtered venting, a universal key lock and tamper-proof hardware suitable for pole, wall or optional tower mounting.
