I asked Kim for insight on her motivation to go solar and this is what she had to say:  “It feels great to be a part of a bigger cause that is so important for our environment and for our country. The more educated I become in the solar energy industry, the more compelled I am. Viewing the Robert Kennedy Jr. keynote speech from Solar Power International this past October was a wake up call for me. Regardless of political affiliations the speech is an eye opener for thinking globally, and installing a solar electric system is one way to act locally. From a practical standpoint, I like the fact that a PV system increases the value and marketability of real estate and hedges against rising utility costs. We will only have to pay one small utility bill at the end of each year for decades to come. The investment in a PV system just made so much sense to me.”
