Today SunWize celebrates the completion of a 70kW solar system on the solar education center at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis, Oregon. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held tonight, June 22, from 5 – 7 pm PST.
The innovative SunWize system includes 25’ x 30’ educational facility, which will store all the system’s electrical equipment behind glass windows to visibly educate the public about the equipment used and the output achieved.
In April 2011, SunWize announced that Department of Veterans Affairs Expanded its Phoenix, AZ, Solar Project to 4.45 MW, which will make it the largest solar carport in the US. SunWize has an established track record working with VA hospitals throughout the US and American Samoa with over 7 MW completed or under construction. Kevin Spalding, SunWize Commercial Sales Manager, reflects back on some of our earlier successes with the VA, including building the largest PV installation in Texas for the Dallas VA in 2009.
